The Premier League is owned by 20 Shareholders - the member clubs, whose membership in the league is dependent on the performance of their football team in the Barclays Premier League.
The shareholders meet quarterly. Any shareholder can table a motion to be discussed at the meeting. Each shareholder is entitled to one vote and all rule changes and major commercial contracts require the support of two thirds of the clubs voting at a general meeting.
The Football Association is also a special shareholder. They have the right of veto in certain crucial areas, such as the appointment of Chairman and Chief Executive and promotion and relegation, but have no say on other areas of Premier League work.
The day-to-day business and statutory company responsibilities are handled by the Board of Directors, which comprises of Chairman and Chief Executive, and the full-time members of staff at the Premier League.
Shareholder meetings are held every other month during the season and the AGM is a two-day meeting held during the close season.
At the Summer AGM, relegated clubs will transfer their ordinary share to the promoted clubs.

The UEFA Europa League (previously called the UEFA Cup) is an annual association football cup competition organised by UEFA since 1971 for eligible European football clubs. It is the second most prestigious European club football contest after the UEFA Champions League. Clubs qualify for the competition based on their performance in their national leagues and cup competitions.
Previously called the UEFA Cup, the competition has been known as the UEFA Europa League since the 2009–10 season,[2][3] following a change in format. For UEFA footballing records purposes, the UEFA Cup and UEFA Europa League are considered the same competition, with the change of name being simply a rebranding.[4]
The competition replaced the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup; however, as the competition was not organised by UEFA, for their records purposes it is not considered a continuation of the same tournament.[5] A prime example is Leeds United, who were twice winners of the Fairs Cup, but are not recognised by UEFA as having won any European trophies.
In 1999, the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup was abolished and merged with the UEFA Cup.[6] For the 2004–05 competition a group stage was added prior to the knock out stage. The 2009 rebranding included a merge with the UEFA Intertoto Cup, producing an enlarged competition format, with an expanded group stage and changed qualifying criteria. The winner of the UEFA Europa League qualifies for the UEFA Super Cup.

Previously called the UEFA Cup, the competition has been known as the UEFA Europa League since the 2009–10 season,[2][3] following a change in format. For UEFA footballing records purposes, the UEFA Cup and UEFA Europa League are considered the same competition, with the change of name being simply a rebranding.[4]
The competition replaced the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup; however, as the competition was not organised by UEFA, for their records purposes it is not considered a continuation of the same tournament.[5] A prime example is Leeds United, who were twice winners of the Fairs Cup, but are not recognised by UEFA as having won any European trophies.
In 1999, the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup was abolished and merged with the UEFA Cup.[6] For the 2004–05 competition a group stage was added prior to the knock out stage. The 2009 rebranding included a merge with the UEFA Intertoto Cup, producing an enlarged competition format, with an expanded group stage and changed qualifying criteria. The winner of the UEFA Europa League qualifies for the UEFA Super Cup.

Television audiences in India and England were deprived of the first three overs of the opening match of the five-match ODI series between the two teams in Hyderabad, as well as the conventional pre-match programming. The 15-minute blackout of live feed came about as the result of a dispute over the payment of a bank guarantee from broadcaster Neo Sports, a part of Nimbus Communications Ltd, to Prasar Bharati, the government agency responsible for uplinking live telecasts out of India. In a statement released at the end of the Indian innings, Neo Sports stated that an "unreasonable demand" from Prasar Bharti had caused the delay in the uplinking facilities being made available to them.
Early on in the telecast, the delay had been put down to "technical issues" but NeoCricket's mid-match statement alleged that the 2.5-over blackout took place because Prasar Bharati had demanded the payment of a bank guarantee far earlier than had originally been agreed upon in a draft agreement. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in New Delhi, which oversees Prasar Bharati, only approved the uplinking facilties just before the start of the first ball.
The lack of television feed meant that for the first 15 minutes of the match there were no live pictures from the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad to Neo Cricket, the rights holders, to Doordarshan for terrestrial coverage in India, to Sky TV in Britain as well as to the BCCI's website, which promised live streaming. This was India's first fixture at home both after their World Cup victory as well as the disastrous tour of England.

The latest round of Barclays Premier League fixtures has thrown up some exciting encounters.
The programme kicks off with a mouth-watering meeting between arch-rivals Liverpool and Manchester United at Anfield.
Manchester City will be aiming to capitalise on any slip-up by United as they host Aston Villa and newly-promoted sides Norwich City and Swansea City go head-to-head at Carrow Road.
The day's programme concludes with Chelsea taking on Everton at Stamford Bridge.
Liverpool v Man Utd
Liverpool are bidding to become the first team this season to beat leaders Manchester United in the Barclays Premier League.
United have won six out of seven this season but have lost their last three visits to Anfield.
These sides have not finished all-square in 13 meetings in all competitions since their goalless encounter on Merseyside in September 2005.
Man City v Aston Villa
City have dropped just two points this season but Aston Villa also remain unbeaten in the Barclays Premier League.
Villa have drawn five out of seven matches under new manager Alex McLeish while City have won their last eight home league matches. They have not lost in 13 outings in front of their own fans, a run which began with a 4-0 success against Villa in December 2010.
Villa have lost their last five visits to City in all competitions, managing just one goal and shipping 13.
Norwich v Swansea
These two newly-promoted sides have both made steady starts to life in the Barclays Premier League.
Swansea have lost all three away fixtures, conceding nine goals and scoring just one while Norwich have taken four points from three matches at home.
Both of last season's Championship meetings ended in comfortable home wins.
QPR v Blackburn
Both sides need to bounce back from heavy defeats last time out. QPR were hammered 6-0 at Fulham while Rovers went down 4-0 at home to Man City.
The Lancashire side have managed just one point on the road while Rangers still seek their first home win of the campaign.
Blackburn are unbeaten in their last four visits to Loftus Road, winning three.
Stoke v Fulham
Fulham have managed just one point away from Craven Cottage this season while Stoke are unbeaten at the Britannia Stadium.
Martin Jol's team are now unbeaten in their last four Barclays Premier League outings while Tony Pulis' men have managed one point from their last three.
The Londoners won both of last season's Barclays Premier League fixtures 2-0 but lost by the same score in the Carling Cup. The Potters though did the double in 2009/10.
Wigan v Bolton
Both sides are in desperate need of points. Wigan have lost four in a row while Bolton have lost six in succession and 11 of their last 12 Barclays Premier League outings.
The sides met four times last season with three finishing level and the Trotters winning 1-0 at the DW Stadium in an FA Cup replay.
Wigan have not beaten their neighbours in seven attempts since their 1-0 success at the Reebok in December 2008.
Chelsea v Everton
Chelsea aim to keep up the pressure at the top of the Barclays Premier League against an Everton side bidding to avoid a third successive defeat.
Everton's last five league visits to Stamford Bridge have finished all-square.

Lendl Simmons made his seventh ODI half-century in ten innings to lead West Indies to a strong start in the first one-dayer against Bangladesh in Mirpur. Adrian Barath provided him solid support early on before a hamstring injury forced him off the field in the first one-dayer to follow the 'no runners' rule.
The other rule changes didn't seem to have much impact on the match - there was a new ball from either end but there was little movement or spin on offer - and the bowling Powerplay was again taken as early as the rules allowed.
Simmons and Barath were watchful early on, making only 11 in the first five overs despite a gift of five overthrows. The first boundary off the bat wasn't an entirely convincing one as Barath barely managed to poke the ball past the keeper.
Simmons was clearly getting fidgety with the slow progress: in the sixth over, he was hurried into a pull which was top-edged just wide of the bowler, then he mistimed a straight drive with which he still managed to find the boundary, before jumping outside leg as he looked to crash a short ball through off without managing to connect. He punched the air in frustration after missing out on a cut in the next over, but showed how good he could be with fours through cover off the back foot and then the front foot in the over.
Barath was mainly taking singles, letting Simmons do most of the scoring as the partnership reached 50. His second boundary was a powerful drive past long-off in the 14th over, but he then had to leave the field with hamstring trouble. There was some concern that Simmons could also join him retired hurt after being hit on the thigh by a fielder's throw - which if it had hit the stumps would have run out Simmons - and left him writhing on the ground in pain. Simmons recovered though, after some treatment from the physio.

Safina quits tennis
Safina, 25, topped the WTA rankings as recently as two years ago but debilitating back injuries have kept her out of action this season and she had been on an indefinite break.

They even strengthened their batting by bringing in Mohammad Kaif, a batsman who hardly bowls, to replace the injured J Syed Mohammad, a specialist bowler. They also continued to trust the left-arm medium-pacer S Aravind, who went for 69 runs in the last match.
New South Wales, playing in Bangalore for the first time, went in with the same XI that helped them qualify for the semi-final. They persisted with Stuart Clark, who was impressive on the slow Chennai surface but was not certain to keep his place on the true and bouncy Bangalore track.

Out of Mumbai Indians' 23 contracted players, eight were declared unfit for the Champions League - Yadav, Sachin Tendulkar, Rohit Sharma, Dhawal Kulkarni, Munaf Patel, Ali Murtaza, Aditya Tare and Pawan Suyal. It's a fantastic opportunity, every day and training session. Hopefully I'll take it with both hands."
Bairstow, 22, has kept wicket for Yorkshire but is yet to do so for England with Craig Kieswetter being the preferred choice. However, Bairstow will keep wicket in England's first warm-up game in the absence of Kieswetter, who is representing Somerset in the ongoing Champions League Twenty20. "I'd like to think I could be selected for England as a batsman but everyone wants to have a 'keeper who can bat'," Bairstow said.
